Late period! i'm nervous!?

i have been late on my period for the past 11 days. i had a very important test that i had to take that i had been stressing out about so i thought that might be why its been late. but my test is over and done with, i passed and have nothing going on right now to cause stress. i don't know why i'm not getting it, i'm starting to get nervous and i've even taken some pregnancy tests. they've all come up negative, but i can't help but worry. i don't have any signs of pregnancy. if anything, i have signs of my period. i've been really emotional and bloating like crazy! what should i do if i don't get it, and should i be worried even though the pregnancy tests said i wasn't pregnant! PLEASE help!!
Answer:
I think that if you have taken more than one test, you probably are not pregnant, unless all of them are faulty.

Sometimes even when the stress is gone, your menstrual cycle can be affected.

I have had an irregular cycle all of my life. Even now that I cannot have children anymore, I still get freaked when my period does not show up. I think that this is just a normal reaction.

Keep tight. I would wait a little longer. If it does not show up, go to the doctor.
As soon as you stop stressing it will come. Evil game, I know, but you are stressing it and it won't start. It's a defense mechanism we have built in. So that predators don't smell the blood, weird, huh?
This same thing just happened to me and I thought for sure that I was pregnant, but I wasn't. I took 3 pregnancy tests all negative. My period was almost two weeks late, but i too was stressed out earlier in the month. I think even though the stress was earlier it still affects the entire cycle. Don't worry, and if you don't get your period in another week get a blood test.
just because u dont get your period does not mean your pregnant. the stress messed up your cycle this month, so it may not come this month. dont get freaked out if the tests were negative. u can go to a doctor but they will probably just tell u to wait it out. also if you're a teen its normal to be irregular.

Late period not pregnant..?

okay my period is 2 weeks late, i took 2 test today, both negative...so..i'm not pregnant. I am having cramps like my period is about to start, but its not coming!!

I am on a lot of different meds.....which may affect it..
I am taking

Pexeva which is for depression.
Nasacort which is a nasal spray.
Clarinex which is for my allegeries.
Advair which is for my allegeries/asthma.

%26%26 another question--if i was to have any type of cervical cancer/std would that affect my period coming??

thanks alot!!!!
Answer:
Yes.Cervical cancer or a std culd effect yur period. But,it culd also b yur nerves.Or,a # of other things.Go 2 yur Dr.Or,check w/yur local Health Dept. They ussually go by income.Give it a wk or 2.If nothing happens go get checked.Good luck!*
Yes you are right, yourr meds could stop them coming, and worry can stop them coming. If you are really concerned go and see you doctore or ring a doctor for over the phone advice if you are too embarassed to go in. Good Luck :)

Late Period Every month....Not Prego For sure!!!?

Is there any reason a period can become late for several months in a row when I have always gone every 28 days? I know for sure I am not prego, so not an option. I am not stressed and not stressed about the periods, just curious. Serious answers only please.
BTW.... I have not been taking the pill.
Answer:
I certainly wouldn't worry. This has happened to me a couple of times in my life (I'm in my mid 30s). My cycle just slowly decided to shift. I don't think you're "late." I think you're getting a longer cycle. In a way, it's good! Less frequent periods mean saving money in the long run!
Prego is a type of pasta sauce.
ALL women go through changes in their cycles. It's no big deal. It just happens.
guess you've just been 'lucky' as far as the timing of each cycle if you're healthy and feel fine then there shouldn't be any issue other than this happens to most women.. but if you're concerned you should see your gyno for a pap!
Yes, it's normal. Just keep an eye on it for heavy bleeding or prolonged bleeding. If you get that, then you may want to see your OBGYN immediately.
Maybe thats just your cycle changihn now
Sure. Women's cycles change all the time. You're not late--your getting a new timing of your cycle. Track it!
Some times it depends on your age i will not ask though if you are going through metapos your period gets different i am not a doctor through. My best advice would to go on web md.com they have many articles about a wide range of medical subjects good luck

Late period and on antibiotics...?

Only a few days late and have been sick with UTI. any relation?
Answer:
Yes! Have had this problem myself... you have nothing too worry about. An infection from a UTI can throw everything off. Things will get back on track as soon as your body rids itself of the infection. Just make sure to completely finish all of the meds, or it will return.
Not sure what the UTI is....but.....sometimes stress and not feeling well can throw off your time of month. Some meds to it too. You will be just fine :) u can always call the pharmacy as well.
Yes, antibiotics can sometimes affect a period. One time I had an issue with breakthrough bleeding (which is bleeding that goes on at other times of the month and it has nothing to do with the period itself) and I had to go on an antibiotic to treat an infection I had, the bleeding stopped while on the treatment.

I've had a lot of pain with UTIs before but not actual sickness.

I hope you feel better soon.

Late bloomer?

im in high school and im still only 4'8. is there anyone here that is a late bloomer? do u think i have a chance of growing anymore. btw im 15
Answer:
You definitely have a chance to grow more. Many women continue to grow in height well into their twenties.

However, if you are petite, don't worry about it! Look at all the celebrities that are so tiny. Many women are around 5' or a little more or less. By the way, shoes are so much cuter around the 5-6.5US sizes, don't you think?

As long as you continue to be optimistic, work on being a caring friend, and a fun person in general, you won't have any trouble having some kind of romantic life.
Dont worry I was a late bloomer to I was always really short and then I started my period and I shot up like 5 inches in like a year it is said that after you start your period you will still grow for another 2 years but its different for everyone. You will most likely grow a lot and just relax and be patient because when you do become a woman you will hate it so just enjoy it now!!!
ya you eefinetly will grow more. dont be anxious,. your time will come

Last week i started my period in my boyfriends bed what do i do?

Answer:
Say excuse me, grab some tissues he has by the bed (or better have) and head to the bathroom. If you don't have the usual feminie hygeine stuff with you, fold some tiolet paper into a pad and head to the store.
Wash the sheets in cold water in bleach.
If he is freaked out, he needs to grow up, if you have known each other long enough to be in is bed, he has to know this is just a part of life.
IF he is really smart, he will make a mental note on his calender and avoid the situation next month.
You are a dumba--!
clean up his bed and tell him how sorry you are then also show him how you will make it up to him.
nothing, just learn to deal with it, he can use resolve carpet cleaner or cold water and hydrogen peroxide on his sheets and mattress.
ok, so its been a week and he hasn't noticed his bed is coverd in......period stains???? Its a fact of life dear, it happens to everybody. If he cant accept the fact that you are a woman and you have a woman's body, then he isn't ready for a relationship......life....
It's life, these things happen, he can get over it. He probably squirts plenty of his own bodily fluids in his bed, whats a little more?
well if he is truly your boyfriend he should be able to understand that it happens and isnt sumthing that could be avoided... and he should be glad it happend cause if it didnt you 2 would be in quite a pickle.. ;-)

p.s use protection..
this was a week ago? and you're still worried about it? i mean, if he's your bf he really shouldnt care...it happens. if you apologized already, there is nothing left to do.
he jus needs 2 get over it
a week later is a long time before asking. apologize to him if you made a mess and buy him new sheets if you stained them. it's a normal event, so keep some tampons at his house for emergencies.
What's the question? Are you still laying in his bed? What did you do?
FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF. HOW OLD R U 2? U SURE ACT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Laser Hair Removal for face?

I have had laser on my face years ago but I need to find a new center in the Winchester/Woburn/Arlington area. There seems to be quite a few places but if anyone has any experience with any places that would be great.
Answer:
You can go to www.HairRemovalForum.com or www.SignatureForum.com. The first site can give you providers and pricing if you call them and the 2nd site rates providers of laser hair removal based on customer surveys.

Good luck.
a and a electrolis in newton is amazing. i get laser there

Ladys please.......................?

yeseterday (you might have seen this) i asked if i had started my period after haveing 5 spots about this big * in my pannies, all the replys were yes but i didnt have anything today what does that mean

I am 32a have hair in both "places" but not a lot of armpit hair and i am 12
Answer:
Don't worry about it. Wear a few light day pads if you're concerned. You probably don't have it yet, but may be getting it in the near future. Believe me its not that exciting and you'll learn to dislike it because it's an annoyance. So be thankful that it hasn't started yet and just be prepared for when it does. Also, if you get it while you're at school, go to the school nurse or gym teacher and ask them if they have some that you could have.
first of all i doubt youre 12

2ndly, if you are i think you need to have a talk with your mommy
and NOT on ByeDR.com
Sounds like you're getting real close to starting your period. If not this next month, soon.
first of all.
i didn't call them spots until i was like 16.
but anywho..why dont you go talk to your mom.
I don't think you started your period. Do you feel cramps in your belly?
talk 2 your mom.......god i get sick of people not having the common sense 2 do that in the first place........
ask your doc
firstly - enough of the hair in both places - toomuch info -
if you cant talk to your mum about it coz its too embarrassing - how about a friend or best friends mum -

it sounds like you are about to start properly in the next coming months - - usually girls who are about to start experience this before the actual proper period - and this is generally a sign for your awareness to get your self prepared mentally and emotionally (for your mum to be prepared too and anyone living with you for that matter lol) - you may find that when you do start fully that it will be irregular and possibly heavy....take a good vitamin b supplement as this will help balance your hormones - good luck -
that is exactly what happend to me. last mth. and this mth about a mth later guess what i got the real thing. im 13
That happened to me about 6 weeks ago. It lasted about a day then nothing since. I'm still not sure what's going on.
I hate not knowing when it's going to happen again, it sucks
it could be just preparing to happen. my cousin is eleven and had the same thing happen to her. i did too. im 13. you should wear a pantiliner for the next few days because you most likely will start within the next couple of weeks.Good Luck!!
im 11 well i think ur gonna start ur period all my friend shav it except me but i beens seeing a lot of white spots 2 but they r white and sticky lines u should tell ur mum or aks friends or talk 2 da skool nurse b prepared 2

Ladys only please?

Ok, I shave my front area and the back area as well. And I was wondering why i get irritated so quickly when I do so. I use a new razor all the time, but i still get irritated. And the area where my underwear line is my hair is growing there too adn I don't know what to do to make it more smoother for my hunnie. Any suggestions? Cause I"m totally clueless right about now with what to do!! And I want my butt smooth like a little baby butt. lol. HELP!!!
Answer:
God made hair there for a reason, ...so u don't get irritated duh! Does your man get off on baby butts or something?? Use nair
Well try using a razor thats not new sometimes new ones mess me up too but also if you do it like a day or two after you have already done it, it can mess you up and irritate cuz it does that to me too. Just mess around and deffinately try the older razor deal not real old jsut not new one
I used a new razor once and cut myself down there and that was a real mood killer! LOL. Now I use Bath and Body Works 3 in 1 soap with a razor that is a couple of uses old. Works everytime and the B%26B soap smells good!
Spend a little extra, go to a spa and get waxed! It's not that painful and it looks totally hot!
Amanda

Ladys answer only?

Answer:
you just feel it....your lower stomach feels weird like pressure and little pain like it bothers almost.... when you use the restroom some women get so pre discharge that sometimes are dark brown or light and some just get pimples in their face....there are many ways of feeling like you are about to get it like i said earlier you just know your body

Ladies:what are some nicknames you have for your monthly?

sorry, such a yucky question.
Oh and have you ever thought you were done then you go to the bathroom and the b!tch came back?
yeah the b!tch is what i call mine...
Answer:
Painters and decorators are in.

Wrong time of the month.

But i wuite like the *****, sums it up well.
I say my Aunt Flo is either coming, or is here for a visit! It keeps things pretty discreet and doesn't embarass my husband. Yet, it still gets the point across!
My boyfriend is visiting

I麓m taking a break

In the zone

on the sidelines haha

.. I can麓t think of anymore that I actually use.
I've heard friends use: my friend is visiting, the curse, time of the month, I've use I'm on my period %26 I'm bleeding.
I simply say that my friend has stopped by.
Surffing the crimson tide
I always say that my friend has come for a visit.
My boyfriend calls it my girlie time. He uses the phrase every carefully though so that he never in any way offends me. He's so cute! Smart man though. He knows when not to ask about it or blame something I did on it!!

Ladies:Do you hate tampons as much as I do?

Answer:
We have a love/ hate relationship. Overall, I think they are a necessary evil.
I'm sure I don't, since I use them...........but if you don't like them, just don't use them!! What is the big deal?
YES I DO! They hurt so much!
They make me feel unconfortble. But better then nothing!
um why do you hate them i couldnt live without them
No! They make the entire thing a lot more hygienic! Haven't you ever been at the beach with your period? Its awful, but they make it quite a bit better!
ya... might as well walk around with a toy in ya:) plus there dangerous. TSS. Not GOOD..... tampons just make me feel weird, and akward...
Hate them?? Honey I can't live without them. Maybe you're inserting it incorrectly, because you can't feel the darn thing AT ALL. Read the instructions carefully, itll make your period seem like just another day ...
Yes, they hurt. But I still prefer them to pads, yuck!
They're a Godsend. What are you doing wrong? Are you really a female? I'll bet not.
they are a god send...cant live without them!!!
I use to hate them until I figured out the right way to insert them. Now I can't imagine going back to pads. They are awesome. I can't imagine life with out them. I don't even know it is there.
Try OB - I find them the least of the evil tampons :)
i hate em, in fact i used them 2day to wipe my dogs cheek, he got a bite by a stupid @ss dog, and it was bleeding so i opened a tampon, ask any1, i did
I couldn't live without tampons. I HATE pads, i would rather not feel like i am wearing a diaper all day. I recently had a yeast infection so i had to use pads, and it made such a gross mess. I hate periods to, but what can i say, its only natural!
no i love them. so nice %26 neat %26 tidy. i forget theyre there. much better than pads. LIFE SAVERS!! haha
not as much as i hate pads
NO! I cannot imagine bleeding onto a pad all day. Gross!!
Nope...They're man's greatest invention!!! i hate pads.... they're so uncomfortable. My life goes on with tampons....
I love tampons, pads are pretty much glorified diapers.
yeah i cant stand them! ive tried using them ltos of times but they just feel wrong to me. i suppose everyone different.
I don't hate tampons entirely, but I prefer to use pads in my usual routine.

I'll use tampons if I need them for swimming or exercising, as pads are a little cumbersome during these activities.

I feel alot more comfortable with pads though, and I feel alot more cleaner and less likely to cause a bacteria infection, as I am flowing as Mother Nature intended. Hehe.
It depends on the person. And if you don't try them, then how do you know if you like them or not? i was scared to try them, but now i onlt use them. Pads are just so gross...and it feels like others can smell you! and it's just a big 'ol mess. And TSS is a RARE thing. But some women don't like them...my mom is allergic to them. Everytime she tried to use them, she got really itchy and it was uncomfortable. so that i understand. but you need to experience it first. then make judgements.

Ladies: Which is Better?

I know you say that both penis girth and length are important, but if you had to choose, would you take a shorter thick one or a longer skinnier one?
Answer:
short and thick definitely - oh and someone who knows what to do with it!!
Of course short and thick one. Sensitive area is 1st 1-2 inch of vagina.

Ladies: serious question????

when u open your legs, what do u smell? (not being vulgar, just taking a poll)
Answer:
Usually not much at all, depends on my activity and time in menstrual cycle. Ranges from sweet to nothing to slightly sweaty. (my natural body odour smells sweet, no I have no medical conditions, but I eat a lot of fruit.)

I think it is partly dependent on your diet and hydration. Just like other body odour.
depends, if i work out damn it stinks! but if its in the morning, smells like lotion. if i have been sitting for a while, it smells a little sweaty.
well i clean mine twice a day so mine doesnt really have a specific smell but if yours does i suggest summers eve
Cleanliness
It's hard to explain...

Most of the month, it's not strong enough to smell just by spreading my legs.

But, right before my period, there is this strange kind of musty smell that reminds me of blood and signals me to check my feminine hygiene stock.

Also, if you douche, don't use anything but vinegar and water douches. And don't use them more than once a month (I recommend after your period). My OB told me that using any of the other kind or using it too often can damage your bodies ability to clean itself and can cause you problems later on.
poopy
Hey, do be honest with you, I don't like the smell. It's kind of fishy (as in ocean-y) smelling. Not entirely unpleasant, men are supposed to like the smell.
OK. I'm weird, but when I smell mine it almost sometimes smells sweet and buttery-like. Don't know what that means. I don't put anything on it to make it smell that way. Perhaps I should post my own question about that. ^.^
I don't smell anything.

Ladies: if you have had BOTH procedures, which was worse:?

a coloposcopy or a LEEP and why? cramps, bleeding, etc.
Answer:
I have never had a leep, im not really even sure on what that is, but I did have the coloposcopy. It wasnt bad at all, they only take a sample as big as the tip of a pen and I didnt cramp and only bleed VERY VERY little. They tell you to not have intercourse for a certain number of days so that you can heal back up as well. I had it done to see how severe my cervical displaysia was and it was very minimal, theres nothing to be afraid of with this procedure :) Hope I helped some.
I am sorry but i have neveer got any of them well up to now
use a latex condom, but dont go to fast... best of luck

Ladies...I need help. PLEASE ANSWER!?

What does an orgasm feel like?

This is pathetic, but I am 26 and have never had one. And no, this is not a joke, I'm being serious, so please don't be mean.
Answer:
The only way to find out what an orgasm feels like it to explore your body yourself until you have one. For me it is like riding a roller coaster all the way to the top where the feeling builds up and then just as you crest the top that rush that you feel starts in your groin and goes up to your head and down to your toes and into your fingers all at the same time. Explore you body and learn what feels good and what makes you orgasm. Most women do not orgasm with penetration and do better with clitoril stimulation.
thts weird im 12 going on 13 i have had mine for a year almost go to a doctor
Its something that you KNOW happens when it happens.. If you dont feel like you have ever had one, you havent. The only way I can describe it is.. you know when you are sitting around, or laying, relaxing... and you have the most comfy clothes on, the most compfy everything and you take in a deep breath and think "omg.. I feel GREAT and I couldnt be happier or more comfy than I am right now" - Its like that - but 10 times the amount and it comes to you in a rush. Instantly your heart beats faster, your blood is flowing and you feel just AMAZING.. I guess its like a drug - of pure bliss...Dont worry.. you WILL have one, you just need to be completely comfortable with your partner and relaxed.. thinking only about how it feels, and yourself - and nothing else.. once you get it the first time you will know what it takes to get you there again. Good luck hun - it will come to ya! ;)
you might be only able to orgasm during oral.
idk what it feels like.
For me, a wave of heat comes over me, my breathing becomes faster and start shaking a little bit. It feels so bomb! But for me it only lasts a few seconds. Dang it!
After it's over I do not want to be touched at all. Until I've recovered.
It feels soooooo ,veryyyy, goooood, It's all about the clitttt. Get yourself some quiet time, oil, and if necessary, a porn movie(personally i don't like them), When your eyes roll back in your head, you will have answered your own question.
This orgasm feels very good it makes you feel drained. You feel as if your the only person in the world that has done everything right at that time. So don't feel bad, when you love the right person you will never get enough.

Ladies.....better to shave or wax down there?

i always shave....but am thinking about getting a bikini wax for the first time. Kinda afraid......have u girls got it done a lot? which would u prefer is better?
Answer:
waxing hurts but it is better. shaving is a good quick way to get rid of the hair but it may cause bumps if you do it too often or maybe make your bikini area darker. try the waxing because after a while you will get used to it and learn that all the pain is worth the long last of no hair
wax... it hurts more but lasts longer and you don't get prickly in two days like shaving.
i always shave too but i really want to try waxing as well. id go ahead and try the waxing. maybe take a friend to get it done too. waxing lasts longer and you don't get ingrown hairs. if you have the cash go for the wax.
shave ........waxing hurts really bad i wont never do it again
i think a bikini wax because it will last longer. It really hurts tho but you will get over it . its like getting a tattoo. it hurts but try it trust me and your hair wont grow back fast it will probably grow back in 3 weeks depending on how thick your hair is.
shame shame shame gals, u should not be shaving down there, just trim it up.
wax. shaving grows out fast and can cause infection.
Waxing doesn't hurt women that much. Wax if you can afford waxing appointments. Of course, shaving is less painful and embarassing, but it doesn't last as long. Getting waxed doesn't hurt a woman that much. The pain doesn't really begin until after the waxing appointment has ended. I suppose you will simply have to use plenty of lotion after the waxing appointment. Women that can afford regular waxing appointments seem to prefer waxing more than shaving. You just have to make sure the hair is a certain length before you go to a waxing appointment. There has to be some hair there before it can be waxed.
i wax always because i shaved onceand it grew thick, very dark and did not last for long.
wax is better

Ladies...............???

would it hurt your feelings if someone said u smell like fish?
Answer:
LOL Not if I had been eating fish!!!
yes
yes
I've never had anyone say that to me but if they did I think it would hurt my feelings. If you do have a fishy odor you should see your doctor because you could have a vaginal infection.
Of course it would, it just knocks whatever self confidence you have through the ground.
yes
Yeah.....if they said that to you they are either just being downright mean, or maybe you should check your hygiene
Yes of course.
yes
yes but act like u dont hear them.when you get home take a good shower then put on some purfume and say who smells like fish now.sometimes fish smell good so dont worry
Not really. I don't get my feelings hurt very easily. It would be very mean, however.........
not if it was a close friend. but if i guy i liked said ohhhh man!

Ladies.... I need your help!!?

I am PMSing and am very bloated and swollen feeling. I have a photo shoot in the morning and need to get rid of the bloat. Does anyone have any tips on how to slim down and lose all this water weight before tomorrow morning? Thank you so much for you help in advance..... have a good one!
Answer:
Take some midol and drink water. If you are still a bit bloated for your shoot then suck it in baby! We've all had to do it... One thing that sucks about being a woman. I'm sure Cindy Crawford has been bloated for a few photo shoots but she's still beautiful in all her pictues... Good luck girly.
drink lots and lots of water
maybe taking some midol...or something
Drink water.................lots and lots of water.
Wrap your stomach, thighs, whatever in cellophane and ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes. It works!!!
take some midol or motrin or advil.
water pills,no salty foods.
Do yoga or other exercises, sweat the water off (or even sit in a steam room!) the exercise will help you tone up and relax your muscles
Drink plenty of water, take midol, and rest.. i have heard that if you do moderate excersise that will ease it up a little.

Ladies,do you suffer from razor burn when you shave your legs? :-(?

Hello Ladies:

I was wondering if anyone else suffers from razor burn when they shave their legs with a disposable razor? I have tried EVERY disposable razor out on the market and even the ones that say that they are for sensitive skin, and everytime after I shave my legs,I get really bad razor burn,OWIE!! :-( I use warm water on my legs, lather up with shaving cream and I still get cuts on my leg even though I shave my legs as gently as possible!

The worst part is the razor burn on my legs because it hurts so bad,I can't even stand the sheets or blankets to touch my legs when I am ready to go to bed at night,OWIE!! :-( I have tried the special lotions that are made for women after they shave their legs and the lotions make my legs feel like they are burning even worse. I have tried waxing my legs too,and that hurt so bad,I thought I was going to die from the pain!! :-( Thank you for sharing any tips that you may have about dealing with razor burn when you shave your legs!! ;-)
Answer:
Stop using disposable razors and switch to regular razors with disposable blades. I use the Gillette Sensor but I've heard lots of good things about the Venus razor too. See if that makes a difference. Also use plenty of shaving cream and don't press down real hard with the razor.

It may be that you are allergic to the metal (if the issue continues). If you can't shave and waxing hurts too much, try a dipilatory like Neet or Nair.
Try applying pure Aloe Vera Gel.
you need to use a better cream to calm it down after using it.
i don't. i get razor burns when i shave my arm pits. you can try waxing or hair removal creams instead of shaving.
I have sensitive skin, so I strictly use creams like Nair and Sally Hansen.
Thanks to God I do not have to shave them.I feel sorry for those that do.
Yes, I do. I hate it during the summer because it looks just as bad as not shaving at all!
I only get razor burn if I'm shaving without gel. lol Which is..well... never! (haha first time I ever shaved my legs was cuz I was bored and it was on dry skin... talk about OUCH) But I'll occasionally get rashes if say, I shave the gel off but retouch up the area without reapplying more. A big no no. lol
i use to but now i use gilettes sensitive skin shaving cream. works pretty good. heres an idea, dont use disposables. they suck. thats your problem right there.
No, not really but sometimes I give myself MEAN cuts in the back of my knees and that sh*t HURTS LIKE A M*THRF*CK*R!!!
use "coochy" by Pure Romance, it is really good, can be used anywhere you want to shave!
i used to have that problem, i tried the venus brand and use the shaving cream that comes in the kits...u can shave everywhere without nicks, cuts or dry skin...let me know if ya try it...good luck!!
hmm... you knwow hat? i dont know.. i would say to use like.. venus razors and soap.. thats what i use..?? hmm... idk..? tricky..
I normally wax unless I'm like on vacation or something so then I use Venus Divine (the darker blue one) and instead of using shaving cream I use hair conditioner. Shave really slowly and it should help prevent the nicks and razor burn. You should also try the Aveeno Skin Relief Lotion (it has menthol and helps calm and cool your skin). Hope this helps.
hi
If you save to invest in an electric razor you will have much better feeling legs
Yes, I do. The best thing I have found to do is use a moisturizing shaving cream. Just a tad bit more expensive but worth it. And also Eucerin Calming Creme after shaving.
Good luck! I know how aggravating it is.
I am right there with you. After I'd shave my legs I had to sleep with no blanket over me. What works for me is to shave in the bath. Sit in a hot bath with your legs soaking for a while before you lather up and shave. Make sure you use a new disposable razor or one that hasn't been used more than ... i'd say 3 times because my legs are so sensitive. Cut your strokes in half (meaning wash the razor off every half stroke) so that way you don't have to go over it again. Then there is the leg-saving product that my brother recommended to me. It's called TendSkin. It doesn't smell too great but it will prevent razor burn/razor bumps/ingrown hairs. Make sure you keep your legs moisturized, not just after you shave but all day because razor burn is worse on dry skin. I hope this helps for you.
Wow, sounds like you have tried everything I could think of. The only thing I can say is maybe shaving isn't for you! Perhaps try and electric shaver, I kno it isn't the smoothest result but at least you kcan't see the hairs or maybe try waxing?
nope
I am very sensitive to all disposable razors. I have been using Intuitition for the past 6 months. I found that I use about 4-6 refills a month, and it does not catch your legs on fire afterwards. Men have it so easy....
i had the same exact problem. it got to the point i would want to cry whenever i had to shave. i would actually put off shaving. i went to my dermatologist. what i started to exfoliate atleast once a week. this would take off any dead skin. then i would wait until i was almost done showering/bathing because then my pores would be as open as possible. After i got out of the bath or shower i blot my legs dry (not rub becuase that could be harsh for the skin and do more damage). While still damp I applied Aquifor. It is a gel that is dermatologist approved and thick. I put it in the refridgerator for a cooling effect too. You could also use aloe vera. No matter what gel/cream you decide to use make sure it is fragrance free and doesnt contain any sun screen or vitamin c.

I also dont shave as often. When I would do it every or every other day i would get really bad irritations.

Good Luck
i'v had that problem my entire shaving history. i have a system, try it. first, i don't shave my legs with a razor very often. every 2 weeks i use a venus razor. in between i use an electric razor. trust me for sensitive skin, its a must have. for shaving gel, i don't use it. even the stuff for sensitive skin irritates it more. i use glyserine bar soap. oddly, it works amazingly for shaving. always let your legs soak i really warm water for a couple of minute. i softens the hair makes it easier to shave. after shaving always pat your legs dry, never rubs. and finally, moisturize like crazy. i use vasiline intensive care with cocoa butter. works amazingly. try this method, it will work. the only really expensive part is buying the electric razor. buy a good one. i suggest remington. good luck
haveyou tryed shaveing cream for sensitives skin. don,t put a lot of shaving cream on your legs that way you don,t have to push so hard while you are shaving then after you get through try babie oil on your legs ,all so try face cream on your legs to soften them . try and find some kind of lotion with no parfum in it this well make your skin burn.and body soft for sensitive skin . you can try what i use ivy or dove or babie soap go to the store look for any thing parfum free .one more thing you can tryi s vaseline intensive care total moisture dry skin lotion hope this helps with your dry skin i know how you feel
I used to get razor burn no matter what razor or shaving cream I used. Then a friend told me to shave with hair conditioner. Apply a generous amount and let sit for a few minutes before shaving. WORKS.
I have very sensitive skin, and the best thing I have found to use on my legs is the intuition razor....I never get razor burn from them and all you need is water, it's so easy...Good Luck!
nair has this new shaving lotion that really works..all you have top do is apply to the legs wait a few minutes and take a shower, the hair comes off easily. plus it has a nice scent to it it has aloe ..it doesn't smell nasty.
You should select the hair removal method which is suitable to your skin.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
i wax
i only get razor burn if I'm shaving without gel. lol Which is..well... never! (haha first time I ever shaved my legs was cuz I was bored and it was on dry skin... talk about OUCH) But I'll occasionally get rashes if say, I shave the gel off but retouch up the area without reapplying more
I have gotten slight razor burns on my legs with disposable razors. I prefer to use a better blade and replace them when dull.

I get razor burn on my bikini area no matter how good the blade is though. I've been using Veet delapitory and that is working great.
stop using disposable razors and try venus vibrance, and a moisurizing shave gel, and shave after you've taken a hot shower because the steam softens the hair and make shaving alot easier.

Ladies, would you consider donating your eggs?

My sister is looking for a way to earn some quick cash and is considering responding to an ad to donate her eggs to someone else? Knowing that we girls are born with all the eggs we will ever have, would you give away some of yours? The link below explains the process of how this is done.

http://www.nyhealth.gov/community/reprod...
Answer:
I think I might consider it if I were positive I didn't want more children or if I knew someone personally who was trying to get pregnant that way.
i wanted to do it. but my husband is very against it. as far as im concerned i make plenty of eggs that im not using. why not give them to someone who can. the place i went to would not consider me because i don't have any kids and they didn't want me to hunt down my egg later in life. that wa not the exact word they said to me. but they might as well had.
No I could not do it
I don't think so. I would have to ask, how much are they worth? If I had my own and didn't want anymore???? too wierd to have your child out there in the world. or at least half of it.
If I'm not using them, sure! I only plan on having two kids anyway. I'd make sure to do it after I'd had my kids, though.
While I think its admirable that other people do it, I don't know if I could. It would just be a strange feeling to know that my child was somewhere out there in the world.

Ladies, would you be insulted if your bf asked you to wear a leash around the house and walk around on all 4s?

Answer:
um... well not if he asked nicely? and respected it if i said no. but i like to be submissive and it sounds kind of fun in a kinky way.
WOW....... umm yeas. and what kind of question is this. im assuming a sick joke which isnt funny at all.
you better believe that i would be insulted. and you are a total *** and fool if you do that. how about suggesting to him that you put him on a leash and tie him to the fence OUTSIDE.
h***yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Wtf***************************...
yea id kick him in the nads and tell him to go to hell what wouldne body else do
ummm yeah you better be insulted you are not a animal and he is obviously a kinky horn dog! i would tell him hell 2 da mother truckin naw and if he had a problem with that well lets just say he can forget being a man anymore.
WTF! Honestly, I would be insulted and thinks he is somewhat crazy, because that is a little extreme and disrespectful. Trust me after that request, he would NOT be my boyfriend anymore. I know everybody have turn-ons but come on that is a little bit out there.
Yes.....That's just rude. Would you be insulted if Your girl asked you too?

Ladies, whats the best home remedy to get rid of a yeast infection?

Answer:
First of all, don't expect this to go away overnight no matter what you try.

Eat yogurt. It has HEALTHY bacteria that will help.

If you have the money - purchase AZO Yeast. All AZO products are EXCELLENT - especially if you ever get a urinary tract infection, that AZO Standard is the BEST out there!

I have heard inserting the yogurt inside via a turkey baster does work, but I never tried that.

Stay away from sugar! If you must sweeten something, only use honey or Stevia.
I don't know of any HOME remedies, but there are a lot of over the counter meds that work well.
eat yogurt. And also you can buy an over the counter yeast infection cream, like monistat. Hope this helps.
Do a yeast buster cleanse, eliminate all sweets , processed foods, and eat lots of suger free plain yogurt with active live cultures.good luck!!!!!!11
Turkey baster filled with plain yogurt. Inject (do not eat it) and wait about 15 minutes before washing. Sounds gross but it works. The lactic acid kills the yeast.
none, get a otc cream or talk to your doctor, eating yoghourt will only get more yeast into your body, drink lots of water, though!
a vinegar bath should help.
Threelac And Yogart

Ladies, what should I do for those places where I cant use lotion?

There are mass amounts of chemicals in my tap water, it makes my skin dry %26 itchy. I put lotion on right after my shower, before dryin鈥?off, but I am wonderin鈥?what to do about those few places that I can鈥檛 put lotion on.
Also:
Girls, have you ever had this problem?
%26
Is this normal?
Answer:
Yes, I know what you mean. FDS makess a lotion just for the delicate areas that some lotions burn and irrirate. Very soothing.
You should not need to put lotions, soap or powders anywhere near your genitals. This is a sefl cleaning area. If your tap water leaves your skin dry and itchy consider getting a water filter.
Have you tried using baby oil? I use baby oil right after I get out of the shower, while I'm combing my hair/etc, and then I towel dry off and put lotion on. It seems to work for me and I had dry skin before I started doing that. Also, if you have dry skin %26 you're using lotion with a fragrance, that may be irritating your skin even more.
And as far as places you can't put lotion, I'm not exactly sure what you mean? Do you mean your face? You can buy lotion for that.
Clarify on what else you meant.
on your vagina? you can put lotion there.. who said you couldnt? it is part of your body isnt it? and it is called body lotion
Means you probably have hard water, which will dry your skin out big time. I have the same problem dry, itchy skin.

What about oils lubircating oils in the places you cant use lotion?
i never herd of before
Something you should try doing in the shower is to put conditioner on your hands and rub it in and after letting it soak into your skin for a few minutes rinse it off with warm water. After doing this for a while you will notice that your hands get softer. I have had really dry skin before and lotion didn't help and this really helped.
You need to use lotion after you dry off. If you use it before, you wipe all the lotion off your skin and it doesn't penetrate. What parts are you talking about that you can't use lotion on? Do you mean "down there"? If you are having problems with dryness down there, try changing the type of soap you use. Sometimes soap can be the culprit of dry skin. You could try using some products that help that, they are usually by the pads or condoms in most stores. Talk to your doctor about your problem. Maybe there is a hormone problem you aren't aware of that could be corrected. Good luck!!
get a filter on your water or something NO IT ISN"T NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
What places are you talking about that you can't use lotion on? You mean the genital area? You shouldn't put lotion down there. Doing so can lead to urinary tract infections, yeast infections, etc. So be careful about what you use and where you use it.

Ladies, what do you think, whos jelousy is stronger, men or women?

Answer:
Men are more jealous; they dont show it as much as females.
I think mostly women because even when you're with someone in a committed relationship, the men will always be looking/checking out other women when in public together and we women always notice when our man is doing it even though you think you're good at disguising it
Unfortunatley, women are more jealous, b/c women are more insecure. Because of the way the media displays what is attractive and acceptable... so many women have issues trying to meet the media's ideals therefore making them vulnerable and lower self esteemed. Men on the other hand do not have the same pressures created by society so they're more secure which makes them less jealous.
Female jealousy is more common, I agree with the others, but I think that male jealousy can be far more disastrous. Not that I'm saying all jealous men will get violent, but most domestic violence cases stem from jealousy. Both men and women with jealousy issues can become controlling and restrictive to their partners, so I think they can both be equally strong. You tend to find that women go for a larger range of men, whereas nine times out of ten, if you pick a certain type of woman, all men will agree she's attractive. However, if you pick a certain type of man, some of the women will say he's hot, others will not be able to see what's so good about him. Therefore, I think that women have a lot more reason to be feel threatened by other women, because there seems to be a mould of perfection that we aspire to. I think this leads to insecurity, and then jealousy.
woman jealousy is a common fact but men wont goes thru all controversy as they have state of mind to play but woman are a bit insecure as they think from heart either than mind ...............
i think women because let say a percent about 90 is occurred for more lyric women, and they don't accept that a man can destroy their love so yes the women's' jealousy is more stronger then the men's' one.

Ladies, question please, only ladies, very important!?

ok, i started my period today in school, and i didnt know abotu it. it usually isnt bad, but it was today. i didnt realize it, but it went through my pants, in science. and the teacher came and told me. smoe people thought i crapped my pants. and some people said i left a stain on the chair. What advice can you give me for this? i am really not look forward to school tomorrow, and what can i say to people? how did you handle it? (i handled it like it was no big deal and liek nothign happend) but im not sure anymore. I am SO embarrassed!
Answer:
Keep doing what you are doing don't show that you are embarrassed kids will feed off of that. If they try to laugh about it just laugh it off with them. Its perfectly normal function of the body if they make a big deal about it that shows you how immature they are.
dont b some other girls must have donr the same believe me your not the 1st 1 but if they do say n e thing tell them that its only a accident and that it will probally happen to them 1 day so dont b embarassed b proud your a women now !!!!!
Yes, it happened to me in 8th grade. Luckily my girlfriends helped me out and no one else noticed. If anyone comments on it, if anyone laughs, you should completely ignore them. Don't give them a bit of attention. What you did was exactly the way it should be handled. We're all human; things are going to happen to all of us at one time or another. Don't feed into the immaturity of those who don't have any class. :)
Horrible situation to be in. U wont be the first to be in this situation and wont be the last. Like the girl answering before me said, laugh with them act like it's no big deal.
sometimes in life embarrasing situations come.just thats part of life.having periods is some thing natural and its not ur fault,so tommorow when u go to school just act natural and dont think thats a big issue cause if u think it that way then it will make u feel more embarassed.
good luck.
maaaaaaaaan that must be horrible!!!! but if people approach you tomorrow about it just brush it off and tell them its a natural thing.....and if they try to tease you just tell them without their mother menstruating they probably wouldn't be born!!!!!!
You handle it the exact way you did. Just act like it was not a big deal at all. It happens, your not the only one, nor will you be the last. I doubt anyone is going to say anything to you. If someone does just tell them you couldn't feel that you had gotten your period. But otherwise just drop it like nothing happened.
take the day off 2mrw!!!
I have that problem every once in a while, but never in public...So, if that happened to me I think I would just tell my friends that" I was on the rag and things happen." If they are really your friends they will be there for you. If kids who are not your friends are teasing you, maybe you can say you sat on something and have no idea where it came from, but don't act embarrased or anything. I'm sorry this happened to you especially at school of all places. It's tough being a girl in this day and age. The girls should understand, but they are prone to be superficial, especially in high school. Try not to worry about it too much, because it may be worse in your head than in reality.
Keep extra pads in your purse and also carry an extra pair of panties with you in case that happens that you stain right there, then go to the bathroom and change in to the other panties.

As for how I handled it when someone told me something similar (a student did) after getting a bit irritated (because I wasn't feeling well thanks to the hormones) I apologized for getting irritated and thanked her for letting me know and then went to the bathroom to check.
omg that happened 2 me in last year!!! i was eating lunch and i got up 2 throw it away and my friend came up 2 me and said that i hav something red and relized that it was my period! then next day i just acted casuall and if anyone said anything i justeither tried 2 ignore them or laugh it off
if u cam ask ur mom if u can stay home to rest and get ovr it. if not go 2 school and if sum 1 asks say you spilled fruit punch on ur pants. k? or have ur grl frends help u through it. good luck. hope this helps grl!!!
Try asking your parents if you can transfer school

Ladies, post-menstrual cramps?

Is it normal to have cramps AFTER one's periods i.e. all bleeding has stopped but acute lower abdomen discomfort still experienced?
Answer:
Not normal, but common in women and girls with Endometriosis. See http://www.endocenter.org/pdf/2006screen... to determine if any other symptoms sound familiar, and if so, definitely discuss with your doc.

Good luck and feel better.
No, it is not normal to have cramps after one's period. Pls see your dr to check in to what could be causing this pain.
Since answer is lengthy, author provided it at a link:

Ladies, have you used the Depo?

Do you thik it makes you gain weight? Does it give you other side effects?
Answer:
Hey! Ok here's the deal. I was on Depo Provera for 5 years!!! Good side effect was that I never got a period. Bad side effect. I gained 20 pounds, went from a size 3 to a 9. I started getting varicose veins and stretch marks on the inner %26 outer thighs, breast, hips and around my knee's. It took 2 years for my period to come down, and I am still irregular. And now I am having the hardest time getting pregnant. I have been off the shot for 3 years and my body still isnt normal, to how it was before I started taking the shot. I suggest that if you are thinking about that option of Birth Control, you talk about it with your OB/GYN. Of course side effects are always different with other people who have had the shot. Look at other options as well. The patch and pills are good alternitive's also.
It made me gain weight like crazy. I didn't change any other part of my life (exercise, diet) but I put on 5 lbs every 3 months. I also had skin problems while on it. My periods were very irregular. Sometimes I would miss a month (which really freaked me out). I had a friend that had the opposite problem and bled for 3 months straight. It is different for every woman. I am now on Mirena, and I love it so much more. The pills were even better than Depo for me.
The weight part you can control. The shot increases your appetite, so whether or not you gain weight is almost completely in your control. There are several side effects such as increased body or facial hair, depression, delayed period, bone thinning, etc etc. Talk to your doctor or google Depo. :]
It made my best friend gain 30 pounds (and she was very fit before that), she lost a lot of hair, and was super evil and depressed.
I would not recommend it.
I used Depo for a few years. The doctor told me that the shot doesn't cause weight gain. He said that something in it makes you hungry then if you eat all the time you will gain weight. I said yes whatever. I gained weight from the damn shot like 40 lbs over 6 months. I wasn't too happy... but I liked not having the periods.

But my sister gained the weight too and bled all the time so she had to stop taking the shot. It works differently for each woman because we are all different.

Ladies, do you care if a man is circumsized or not?

Answer:
There isn't much of a difference between men who are cut and those who aren't when they are fully erect. All men, but especially those who are not cut, need to take special care to clean themselves. I don't think it matters either way.
Personally, I do care - I want it circumsized.
not really as long as the uncircumsized man takes care of his member like a little extra cleaning down there. the build up of bacteria can be bad for a woman and cause an infection in her.
Actually, there is little difference between a circumcised and uncircumcised erect penis. When fully erect, the foreskin on an uncircumcised penis is stretched out and you likely won't be able to tell.

That being said, there is very little extra care that an circumcised male must give his penis. When showering, they generally pull the foreskin back to rinse underneath, which is sufficient to keep things nice and clean.

Cleanliness being quoted as a reason for circumcision is no longer really valid, as we generally shower more than once a year these days, as opposed to a hundred years ago. Also, uncircumcised men generally have a more sensitive head on their penis, and receive much more pleasure from intercourse than a circumcised one. (bonus answer, lol)
most prefer uncircumcised but about 10-30% prefer circumcised.

Ladies, a question about breast cancer?

I m 19 yrs old and I donno for wat reason I just have this feeling tellin me I have breast cancer, its crazy, isnt it? anyways, its not so annoyin coz I m not realy scared of having it, I read some stuff online about the self test that V can do, I ve tried it, I feel sth rounded and hard in my right breast. Im not sure if I feel it in the left one though! so I just wanted to ask is this round thing in the breast normal? does everyone have it?
thanks for any answer,
Answer:
Statistically the odds are in your favour. though it is possible to get breast cancer at any age, only 5% of it occurs under the age of 40 years. self examination is only suggested to start in women over the age of 25 years.

Go see your GP who will examine you, If you have a strong family history of breast cancer also chat to him about risk counselling. I am also a little concerned that this is an illogical health worry, this is also something to discuss with your GP.
It's a common thing to worry about. The best thing is to stop worrying and go to your doctor...
if ur worried about it hon go and speak to a doctor they will maybe give u a little check and put ur mind at rest
It could very well be a muscle, you need to check with your doctor. I have diffrent bumps but there all muscle
You most likely have cystic breasts, which is normal and not to be worried about it, i have them and there are lumps and bumps all over the place.....BUT.....please go see the doc....always better to be safe than sorry....good luck to you....
seriously if you are worried get to your docs quick.

my auntie has had it 3 times and she has had to have a mascetomy because the last time she didnt find it quick enough.

please go to the doc's
try to move the bump, if the bump moves don't worry but if it didt go to doc right away
What round thing? You should not feel any lumps or irrgularities. See your doc to ease your mind and have him/ her show you how to preform a breast exam properly and then do them monthly like you are supposed to.
I know exactly what you mean since I was about 25 I was absolutely sure that I was going to get breast cancer at 32, for no apparent reason. It was a real gut feeling and I was sure of it. Luckily here I am at 34 and fit and healthy without breast cancer.

I did get a couple of lumps and bumps and went straight to the doctors. They turned out to be harmless cysts that were drained. If you have any lumps or bumps that you are not sure about check them out with the doctor it is what they are there for and it is better to be safe than sorry.

Otherwise enjoy your life and try not to worry too much.
go to your docs babes and get a full exam done
Lumps in the breast should be checked by your doctor. Unfortunately many people die of embarrassment each year because they put off seeing their doctor till it's too late.

Ladies!Does it hurt?

Now,I'm no pervert or anything, but I've always wondered does it hurt girls to be hit/kicked in the groin(as much as it hurts a man?),and please,no stupid answers like 'Dosen't it hurt to be kicked anywhere?'This is a genuine question so please answer seriously and truthfully
Answer:
As a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, we do a lot of sparing (fighting) with protective gear and all that.

unfortunately, girls do not usually have cups to cover their groins like the guys do. So once in a while when I go to kick my opponent in the head, he/she accidently goes for a lower side kick at the same time and... well, it does hurt.

Although I don't think it hurts like it does a man, it is sensitive and you're put off for awhile, but since your fighting, I try to keep moving.

So it doesn't completely knock me to the ground, but it's like extremely sharp pain for a few minutes before it dulls off.

But monthly cramps hurt more about a ten fold, so I'd be more sympathetic if a girl is on her time of the month then if you accidently kicked her in the groin.

It has happened to me more than once... by second and third degree black belts. The harder the kick, the longer the pain stays. I usually never thought of telling people this, but it happens.
my sister slipped on a man's bike when she was a teenager and could not get up. She was also bleeding and had to go to the doctor. She was in real pain.
no i dont think it hurts us as much as hurts guyz.but i could b wrong.but when i get hit in the boob now that hurts badly...
It would hurt but not in the same way as a man would hurt. The external female genitalia (clit) is well protected by comparison to mans bits!
welli dont think it hurts as much as it does for you guys....but definately it's a pain you dont want to deal with.

LADIES! plz help me! its vital!!!! plz!?

ok, i started my period today in school, and i didnt know abotu it. it usually isnt bad, but it was today. i didnt realize it, but it went through my pants, in science. and the teacher came and told me. smoe people thought i crapped my pants. and some people said i left a stain on the chair. (i handled it like it was no big deal and liek nothign happend) but im not sure anymore. I am SO embarrassed!
Answer:
This happens to everyone. It's something people will forget soon I hope. Just tell them the truth. If they can't handle it that's their immaturity not your problem. Next time just make sure you keep extra stuff in your purse just in case.
Keep an extra pair of shorts in your locker or something when you're not sure. Hopefully, no one will mention it. Guys are just scared to death and it's happened to every girl, so don't worry about it, just be more prepared next time.
The exact same thing happened to me. The next day, I pretended nothing ever happened. I quickly forgot about it. That was 41 years ago.
hmmm.
well i don't see how you couldn't feel wet.
well, next time kind of be aware around the time that it comes.
bring extra pads or tampons in your backpack or purse.
%26%26 be sure not to wear white pants on those days =]
hope i helped.
=]
Oh, I have been through the embarassing "pant leaking" days. It sucks that we, women, have to go through this. I think you handled it correctly. These things happen..it's part of life. The other ladies in your class will soon find out. Laugh it off and say something like, "I guess that's what comes along with being a woman." They will get over it.
either act like it didn't happen and they will forget about it by next year or make jokes about it.

listen to these, it will help:

Just smile and say "Mother Nature Rules." If people are going to confront you about it, I'd hope it meant they care. If they act like they're just being nosy or stupid, ignore them and walk away. Soon enough, something else will distract them!
dont feel embrassed it happends to alot of people. its happend to me. if poeple ask just say i sat in something. go in to school tomarrow lookin cofedent and proud ur a women (lol) and dont tell a littkle thing like that stop u and ruin ur life.

best of luck
I can relate to your situation. Things happen in life that sucks. I know its really embarrassing, but if you keep your head up high and act like it was no big deal, and keep your cool, people might respect you for that and not say anything. And if they do say anything, don't say anything back, just act like you didn't hear what they said. Dont show your fear or embarrassment because then thats when people try to get at you, so be confident, keep your head held high and be happy!!! Life can bring some crazy things but, life is fun, enjoy it!
Hun, this had happened to all of us. Everyone does embarrassing stuff. I mean, ha, the other day in school, my pants didn't zip all the way, and everyone saw my g string, hahaha. Course all the guys liked it so nothing was said till a gf told me. Things happen, it's ok, just keep extra pads in your locker or book bag like I do, good luck, everything's going to be fine at school.
the positive answer i would say thank goodness my period started for a minute there i thought i was pregnant, then all the boys would look at each other thinking who did it.

Ladies with painful periods, I need your help!!!!?

I am 34 and use to be on the pill for years and 3 years ago I became severaly allergic to all kinds as I tried them all. I never had pain, cramps, much less any bad side effects. Now I have regular periods as far as every 25 days but I am having a major problem. I hate to be gross but in the first 3 days of getting my cycle I lose big blod clots and saturate a pad or tampon ususally with in an hour so. This is starting to make me real weak and just completely wipes me out. I can't even leave the house for fear of an accident. I have been in bed for 2 days and I want to know is this normal? Do other women have periods that suck the life out of them and bleed excessively? What do you do to control it?? Any foods or pills that help you or any thing you can tell me good or bad would be helpful. Thank you all.
Answer:
You may have endometriosis. The link below will tell you more about it. You should see your doctor and ask about it. I have it and after I stopped using birth control the symptoms were much worse. Blood clots most the time are normal. I put a link below for more info on it for you.
If your experiencing such a heavy period to where it's affecting your every day living then it's time to call the doctor. Other than birth control pills it's rather hard to control them.
same thing happens to me. but im 14 so its even worse.
I did have the same problem..........I had to wear two tampons and a pad to get through he grocery store. My Dr told me that happens to some women as we age. I now have the Mirena IUD..........and no longer have those nasty heavy painful periods. Go see your Dr and see what your options are.
It seems that the pills kept your period at bay for all the years that you used them. From the way that you explain your situation, it is very possible that you have fibroid tumors. You will need to see your doctor to be sure. If indeed you have fibroids, there are many treatments that are used to control the excessive bleeding.

In the meantime, eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and take an iron supplement that is easily absorbed by your body.

Things will get better!
i know exactly what you mean...well not about the blood clots but about the cramps i get really bad cramps to the point where i can leave bed for days...drink a lot a lot a lot of water...and no matter how bad you don't wanna get up and walk around i found that drinking a lot of water helps the cramps a little and the bleeding some...walking even a little bit every night helps to but you cant just be still that's when it gets worse stay away from caffeine it makes the cramps worse...and use heating pads.....those portable ones they have now are excellent...as far as the blood clots go consult a doctor my mom just had the same thing happen to here and she wound up having to get a hysterectomy because when that happens....something could be wrong......
Other than birth control, WESTERN medicine has a hard time controlling them.

As an experienced doctor of Chinese Medicine I can tell you that one thing that Chinese Medicine regularly treats with more success than western therapy is "female problems". The combination of herbs and acupuncture can work wonders with regulating periods, minimizing bleeding, eliminating pain and decreasing the likelihood of feeling "wiped out" by your menses.

I personally suffered from severe PMS and cramping for years and finally sought treatment with an acupuncturist. It was so successful I fell in love with the medicine and went to school to get trained in it.

In my experience with patients, the cessation of birth control pills can frequently lead to excessive bleeding, irregular and painful periods. The energetics of birth control pills are stagnating; basically they keep the body from moving energy the way it was designed to. As a result, when you stop taking them, your body goes into overdrive mode and makes a huge effort to move all that stuff that the birth control pills kept in place.

As a result your bleeding has gotten heavier, you're passing clots (old, stagnant blood!), and its wiping you out because your body is working so HARD to move all the stuff that the pills kept in place.

My advice would be two fold. First, research acupuncture a bit, here is a link to a page about acupuncture and menstruation:

http://www.calvindale.com/treatments/men...

The UK link on this page is to a british site, but the information is valid.

Then, if you think it may be right for you, find a practitioner who has experience working with OBGYN patients. Acupuncturists tend to specialize so ask around. Also, here is the national web page for the states, listing all nationally licensed practitioners.

http://www.nccaom.org/

Lastly, make sure that you are eating foods high in iron to avoid becoming really anemic as a result of the blood loss. Here is a link to a page listing a variety of foods.

http://www.weightlossforall.com/iron-ric...

Good luck! I know how horrible it is to be completely debilitated by your period.
I had symptoms similiar to yours, in my case it was endometriosis.
Plase discuss this with your doctor. I had same symptoms for years. I finally had a hysterectomy. My blood count was way too low and it didn't have time to build up before the next period. There are things that can be done for you.
Ooooo.....that's what I was going through. I found I had some fibroids. In fact, I became anemic and still am. It is not normal! I'd be out somewhere and I'd saturate two of the Maximum Protection pads by Always. The blood would go through the pads, down my legs and onto my shoes. It's good my car has vinyl seats....

I'm on Depo-Provera and it has helped immensely. It took a few months to really kick in. After a year or so, I shouldn't have any periods.

Answer:
I had gastric bypass surgery in April 2005. I started out at 268, now I鈥檓 180 and holding. These links will help you in many ways to make a decision if this is for you or not. I vote yes, because it made such a difference in my life. I was taking 8 pills a day, and after my surgery, I lost my diabetes. The way they do the surgery, takes your diabetes away. I no longer have to take glucophage, and I no longer have high Cholesterol or high blood pressure. I鈥檓 down to 2 pills a day. I went from a size 26-28 to a 16-18.

Most people struggle with paying for the surgery. Go to this site, it is a great support system for you, because it鈥檚 only people who have had gastric bypass or lap band. Every insurance program has been rated, and you鈥檒l get tips on how to deal with your insurance company, as well as, surgery tips, food tips, and just support. This site is free! I鈥檇 have to rate it a #1 site if you want to learn about the surgery and how to deal with the insurance companies and get support from other people in the same boat as you.
This is the #1 site for gastric bypass and it鈥檚 free! Extremely helpful! http://www.obesityhelp.com/
This explains about the surgery:

I really researched my surgeon, and I made a wise choice. Always get a surgeon that has done at least 200 of these surgeries. Get someone with a lot of experience, and you will do well.
Here鈥檚 all about my surgeon鈥?br />http://obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/bar...

You just can鈥檛 find a better surgeon than him! He鈥檚 probably done at least 500 of the surgeries, so far. I did so well after my surgery, I thank him every time I see him.
I made it to 175! It's been almost 2 years since my surgery. I haven't had any complications at all with my surgery! My health has been very good, and I've lost the weight nice and slow, so my body doesn't look that much out of shape. I've been faithfully taking my vitamins, and my blood work came back excellent! I still think very highly of Dr. Pilkington, and would recommend to anyone thinking of this surgery, to have Dr. Pilkington as his or her surgeon. I'm walking proof, that he is an excellent doctor. I just spoke to another patient of his who told me she had a very good experience with him, and she is in excellent health, as well. He is a very caring doctor. I live in Florida in the winter. I see alot of folks down there because of my job, and I see people from all over the USA and overseas. Since my surgery, I've talked to lots of others that have had the surgery in Florida, and some of them didn't do as well, and I tend to think it's because their doctors weren鈥檛 as competent as mine. I feel that part of how you do, is because of your general health and attitude. The other major part is how good your doctor is.

Good luck with your surgery and new life!
Oh, it will go down as long as you follow the doctor's instructions after surgery and lose weight. I didn't have this--my niece did. Her breasts were really big before the surgery. I don't know, maybe the same as yours. She's a 34B now. She lost 170 lbs. after starting at 300 lbs.

She jokes and calls herself "Monty Burns" (Simpson's) because she has the worlds SKINNIEST little arms. LOL

Good luck!
My mother had it done in December. Yes, your breasts will decrease, but it will not be immediate.
Everything will go down but it won't stay down unless you have counseling for the reasons you use food to pacify yourself. Most of my cousins have had it done and one sister and are all regaining the weight. What are you going to do with those feelings that make you go get food? I know how it is because I'm the same way. I asked my sister this same thing and she had no answer. She has many health problems from the surgery-twice admitted to ICU and is gaining weight every week. One of my girl cousins showed us at family reunion how she deals with her issues. Bear in mind now, she is a Dr herself. We all ate at a pizza buffet and she piled her plate sky high, ate it all and headed for the bathroom. She came out and reloaded and then did it the third time. She has stretched her esophagus out into a pouch above the ring she had put in so she couldn't overeat ever again. She says she can't help it and knows it will kill her when the pouch breaks and it will. Weight is a mental health issue whether it is obesity or anorexia. Have you even checked the statistics on this? I know close to 20 people who've had it done and all gain it back. Drs make a lot of money off of this as it seems like an answer to prayerbut believe me it is not. Good Luck and God Bless
I work for a bariatric surgeon. You will loose weight all over.

Ladies please help..serious answers only please!?

lets start off with i just finished off my antibiotic amoxicillin for my strept throat which in turn, gave me a yeast infection. this is like my second or third one i have had my whole life and im going on 21. and another thing, im also on my monthly =/ ... anyone have any home remedies that i can try or should i just go to walgreens and get a kit thingy?
Answer:
Just head the the drug store. Next time, get the MD to write you an RX for the yeast infection pill (Diflucan) at the same time you get the Amoxicillin RX. If you have a history of this problem, they will do this for you. Save yourself lots of trouble ;)
go to the pharmacy
go to walgreens there is no home remedy i don't believe.
how does amoxocillin give you a yeast infection? If you get one in your mouth, Gargle with yogurt.
Eat plain yogurt. Anytime you take antibiotics, eat plain yogurt.
Take a probiotic or lots or yogurt, always helps me
Of course, the Monistat products work well on yeast infection. If you need to save $$$, try plain yogurt with live cultures. It works.
The same thing just happened to me...try taking acidophilis pills...they should help fight the yeast infection. Then if that doesn't work your doctor can prescribe a pill to take that clears it up with one pill . ((If you don't like the creams that you can buy from the drug stores))
My mother taught me the old home remedy of soaking a tampon in white vinegar and inserting and leaving it for 6-8 hours, and you may have to repeat it once.
I did this and it was the most HORRIBLE BURNING PAIN I have ever had. I have no idea how she does it, but she swears by it. (Her vagina must be made of steel)
It did cure my yeast infection, but I will never never never never do it again. Now I just buy the kit at the store. The pain was not worth it for me.
Best of luck to you.
Check with your dr to see if it's ok to use an OTC yeast cream during your period.
Lay off the sugar and starch because they feed the yeast.
go get a kit from the store, but dont use tampons with the medicine and if you can stand it it would be best to wait to treat yourself till after your period is over and get some vagisal super strength for the outside burnng and itching, it helps loads
go to your doctor. dont use tampons for your period either. they will make the yeast infection worse. you cant treat the yeast infection til your period is done. see your doctor
you should get the kit
It's always a good idea to eat yogurt while taking antibiotics.. but that's a lesson for next time.

The kits at the drug store can be pretty tough to use if you're on your period. Call your doctor. If you describe your symptoms, they may call in a prescription for you for Diflucan. It's just a pill you can take that should help in a day or so.

Ladies please help! emergency!?

There's something wrong!?
im 15 going on 16. i got my period at 15 and my boobs have been the same size they were in sixth grade. they have gotten alittle bigger but barely. im less than a AA. im like pretty much flat. i still have buds. it's like they stopped growing in sixth grade. i hate wearing bras. everyone says i should. what's the point? theres nothing there. i thought once you get your period they start to grow real fast. my mom told me that and they aren't growing. they haven't since like sixth grade. they started growing when i was 11 and they have stayed that size since then. i want to be a B cup. help what should i do? my cousin is 18 and she's a C cup. it makes me feel bad. what makes your breasts bigger even sixth graders have bigger boobs than me. im in 10th grade and everyone has at least C's. it isn't fair. why did i have to be born messed up. my mom was a B. my cousin is a C. my grandma is a D and my other grandma is an A. so what will i end up with? i know it's all ine the genetics.
Answer:
Well, if you're less than AA, or even AA, there really isn't a point to wearing a bra. It's stupid for people to think that you should a wear a bra based on age. However if your nipples stick out a bra is still a good idea, to cover em up.

It is very hard to tell what you will end up with. Your grandmothers have obviously both had children, and pregnancy is the best way to get bigger breasts. My mother was always pretty flat until she had kids. There's really nothing you can do about it now, aside from a padded bra.
Relax. You are perfectly normal. You are still growing, and everyone grows at a different pace. Your breasts will continue growing until at least age 18. If you're really concerned that it may be a hormone problem, talk to you doctor. But please don't stress it or think you are abnormal because you are smaller than some other girls. Good luck. :-)
Honey, don't worry about your breast size. Your breasts will grow at the right time. You've got years ahead of you to fill out the bra size of your choice. Right now, just enjoy being a young girl. There will be plenty of time to be a grown up and then you will wonder how the years got away from you.

Ladies opinion?

my wife of 7 yrs loves for me to play by myself while she watches.
does that work for any of you? she says it a real turn on.
Answer:
Ladies get turned on by lots of different things. Some women dont' like guys going down on them some dont like being touched on their breasts... If it turns her on and gets you both off, then there should be no problems.
Wow...ya.. I like to sometimes find websites that have videos of that sort of thing. I also have a guy in my area, we have never met, and he has a camera on his computer and he likes it when I watch. but don't do anything unless YOU enjoy it too.
sure, just dont finish without her
no in fact i feel insulted by it.

Ladies only?

What's the best thing for intense cramps; I can't lay down all the times and sometimes I vomit when I try to lie down; so I want to know what methods you have tried; and what's worked for you.
Answer:
My daughter and I are both plague by this damn curse. It's the pain that's making you vomit. I'll bet the pain is enough that you want to crawl from your body if you could.
Start charting when you get your period. A day or two before you start, try taking on regular ibuprofen every four hours. Make sure you double up before you go to bed, because if it hits while you're asleep, you won't be able to keep the pill down.
You may want to see your doc and see if he can prescribe Ponstel. I find them VERY effective, but again, you have to stay on top of your schedule and take them before you start your period. Ponstel is a non steroid anti-inflammatory that is classed with the ibuprofen-types of medications.
Good luck!
I use Midol and a hot water bottle. Take some midol, fill the hot water bottle up with very hot water, and wrap it in a towel. Lay on the couch and try not to move alot. It is the only thing that works for me.
i take 800mg of ibuprophen. those things that you can stick on and they stay warm are helpful too.
heating pad - on the stomach, laying down

hot tea - before u lay down

midol - so it make u crap and let all that out of your body

tylenol - day before u get period
I think Aleve works the best! Start taking it before they get real bad and you'll be surprised. Also, if you can't use a water bottle maybe those heat patches would work! I feel for you!
My doc gave me something that helps a lot, meclomen (name brand) or meclofenamate (generic name). I'm not sure of the spelling though. I think it's only available in generic and is kinda expensive, but it works by making the flow lighter so you have a LOT less pain.
I've also found that heat really helps.
Take a couple of advil and use a heating pad on your lower tummy...if you don't have a heating pad, dampen a towel and put in in the microwave for a minute, then put it on your tummy. Don't burn yourself!
A bath
Hot water bottle
A good boyfriend to cuddle you
Some gentle excersise helps me loads actually. Quite suprising.
Of course choclate aswell it works for everything.
I am surprised that you vomit during your cramping times. Have you been checked for fibroid tumors in your ovaries? Are you constipated during your cramping times? (That always made mine worse). The only thing that helped me was to drink lots of warm water, lie down with my feet UP, and to stay warm. Drinking lots of warm water seems to make the clots less, and so, the cramping seemed less.
If your cramping is really severe, and stays that way, as mine did, it would not hurt to be checked to see if you DO have fibroid tumors in your ovaries. You wouldn't have to worry about an operation, most likely. If you do have fibroid tumors and they are not causing any OTHER trouble, the doctor would just tell you that you have them, and might put you on some pain medication during this time.
Midol
Green Tea
Motrin 600 or 800mg
Drinks lots of water before your period
Rest
Hot water bottle or heating pad on the stomach
Warm bath
its true to say that everything works different for alot of people! But I personally use and prefer ADVIL....
Ok, this is going to sound RIDICULOUS, but I find that if I work out (even slowly) when I am getting cramps, they significantly get better or go away.
I workout regularly but on my first and second days, I get cramps and when I workout, they are reduced immediately or completely go away.
I also avoid caffeine. No matter what you do, don't drink coffee on the first or second day. It heightens the pain, and also may interfere with any medicine you take.
Third, take Midol or any menstrual cramp medicine, every three to four hours. Take 2 tablets each time, only for the first or second day if pain persists.
Lastly, just try to distract your mind by reading something highly interesting, watching your favorite show or something else. The less you think about it, the better.
Hope this helps!
Please make sure you do not have endometriosis or some sort of overian cysts by scheduling an exam with your OB/Gyn. I take Aleve and use a heating pad on my tummy, but my friends swear by those heating stickers you buy at the pharmacy.
I take a 24 hour miodel relief pill and use a hot pad. But before I do all that i take a nice hot bath and that helps
heating pad next to the pain, and take some midol. I use to have the worst pain just like this! then I went on a birth control pill so it wouldnt hurt as bad and it hasnt since.

Ladies only: Do you prefer plastic or cardboard applicators?

It seems to me that cardboard applicators are hard to use. They don't glide as smoothly as the plastic applicators and they get stuck so you can push the tampon in. They are also hard to keep a grasp on them while inserting them. Is it just me? Plastic applicators just seem much easier.
Answer:
i personally only use tampax pearl with a plastic applicator. to me, plastic glides in smoother, helps you keep your grip easier, and doesnt collapse as easy as cardboard.
I personally dont like the cardboard ones, the seem very hard to insert and unpleasent, not saying that the plastic one is pleasant. But id go for the plastic ones.
Neither I wear pads but when I have to wear a tampon I use plastic applicators ( Playtex Pearls )
Nah, I agree with you Katie.... 100%. I prefer the plastic applicators, but if I need to use cardboard, I will.... I find the same thing as you with them.
There's always the no applicator option - O.B. Tampons.
Just plastic please. Those cardboard ones stick to you and hurt!
I like plastic applicators because I feel like the cardboard rubs the wrong way. It kinda of hurts when i use a cardboard one...but when I'm desperate, I guess I would. (I like Kotex Tampons, they are a good brand, and are cheap too)
Plastic-but I hate tampons of any kind. They are a necessary evil.
i totally agree with you, i hate the cardboard ones...your exactly right when you say that they are hard to insert...they are just a total pain in the A**. Plastic ones..all the way!
I prefer the plastic for comfort of insertion, but then the "tree hugger" part of me prefers cardboard for the environmental reasons............biodegradab... and all that.
I don't even want to get into recylcling, because I can't imagine that they RECYCLE the plastic from used tampon applicators, although I suppose they may.......
However, when I get cardboard applicators I get the kind with the "petal top" that is rounded, and opens up, rather than the blunt original design that Tampax had in 1820 or whatever it was. Have you tried that type? It's much more comfortable.
If you are also a "tree hugger" and don't want to use plastic because of guilt over recycling issues, try lubricating with a bit of KY Jelly or some other lube. Don't use vaseline, as it's not water soluble and is a breeding ground for infection.
I dislike the cardboard ones. The plastic ones help alot, they just seem so much smoother and as pleasant as something like than can be!
I prefer cardboard. Think about how long it takes to breakdown at a landfill.

Ladies only: Do you take Yaz?

If you do, you will know what it is and that it gets rid of PMS.....so I want to know if it has worked for you... Thanks!
Answer:
I took it for 6 months in part of 2006 and I had a rough start with it when I first went on it, and then discovered that it didn't work for me at all to try and help my endometriosis, did more for one of my other medical problems. But because of the rough start when I first went on it I decided never to go on it again. I prefer Lo/Ovral.
I know several people with whom Yaz was TERRIBLE. I wouldn't try it. They had weird periods.
my couzin used to pop those pills and it made her vomit blood ! worsened the pain actually, she would lay on the floor and scream horribly from the pain she was having .

it did made her sound a little like a guy though because it has male hormones in it , that's what her doctor said.

He told her to get these from the drugstore , best thing she ever tried .. 1 hour after taking it she had not one symtom .

Ladies only please. it's about vaginal discharge?

How often do you have it....you know that white discharge. I have it like 4-5 times a day.....is this normal?
Answer:
its happens to me alot i suggest pantyliners so if u have heavy sticky dischoarge your underwear wont get ruined. so no need to stres it normal.

hope this helps :)
With all medical questions the place to go is to your doctor! It will probably be nothing or something simple like a yeast infection.....but go to the professional.....do not take chances with your health!!!!
it's all normal. the foods you eat and the activitys you do can effect your discharge. Sweating %26 Cloths also have an effect on amouonts color and smell... also bacteria balance may be an issue. check with your Dr. if it continues to worry you.. good luck
It's normal to have it all of the time because it's the vaginas way of keeping itself lubricated.
I don't have any type of discharge. I do know about the discharge you are talking about. Please make an appointment with your doctor or women's clinic as soon as possible. This probably sounds like stupid answer to your question. Honestly, your doctor will do tests %26 give you an accurate, medical solution to your problem. You will need to tell your doctor whether the discharge has an odor, if you have itching in the vagina area, %26 other private questions. It's not the end of the world. Call the doctor now!
Its is best to be safe you may want to make an appt with your dr.
geese im being told 2 go 2 the doctor 2:-( i hate being seen down there?
Yeah I have it all the time but my sister's is way worse, so I'd say it depends on the person. But yours doesn't sound unusual.

Ladies I need advice!!?

It used to be that a few days before my period I became very blue and sad, emotional and of course EVERYTHING seemed like a big deal. Well, for the past few months I have been fine before my period but the last day before I start my pills again I mentally crash....its like my entire PMS moods are crammed into one day I am an emotional wreck. I try to keep it under cover but I get really depressed - I cry, I think everything in my life sucks and my poor boyfriend thinks I am going to break up with him. These feelings usually last for about a day or so but I am hoping there is something I can do to stop it - I hate feeling this way . I feel really weak and mad at myself. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Does anybody have any suggestions? Please help :o(
Answer:
Some of the homeopathic things you could do for yourself have to do with preventing some of the discomfort. Avoid junk foods, high salt items, chocolate and caffiene. You know, all of the things you crave during this time of the month!

You mentioned you are on THE PILL. You may need to change the type of pill you take. It is best to contact your GYN/OB Doctor and let her/him know about this change in you. You don't have to live like this. Okay?
It may seem embarrassing, but you can talk to your boyfriend tell him whats up and you're not breaking up with him, you can also talk to your mom and doctor, they'll be big help for you especially your mom!! Mine is. :0)
